Clock Tower | Villanova d'Asti
Address Via Tommaso Villa, 14019 Villanova d'Asti AT, Italia
The tower was, and is, the symbol of the municipality of Villanova.
Of late medieval origin, it was also built as an emblem of the town's autonomy.
It was completely rebuilt in 1501 and again in the eighteenth century, with the current architectural features, while in the seventeenth century, as can be seen from a representation contained in the Thetrum Sabaudiae, it had a high Gothic spire.
